This Saturday November 6th is the 7th National College Football Day commemorating the 141st anniversary of the first collegiate game played.
This celebration, observed each year on the first Saturday of November, was created by the AT&T Cotton Bowl to pay tribute to those college students on November 1869 who left a perdurable legacy for our nation.Since 2006, the chosen recipient organization for this holiday is The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
"The support we have received from these organizations has been phenomenal," said Rick Baker, President of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association. "Thanks to these great partnerships, we have raised more than $50,000 for The V Foundation over the past three years, and we hope to build upon the success and continue to increase cancer awareness and raise money for a great cause." - Memphis Tigers -
This year and in order to celebrate College Football 141st birthday, the AT&T Cotton Bowl has created a special and limited edition lapel pins, which will be distributed nationwide among people involved, like coaches and sports publicists.
