In Lenoir County, N.C. three citizens were honored for their volunteer work. The ceremony took place on Monday 15th at the County Courthouse.

The N.C. Governor's Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service has been recognizing volunteers statewide for the last 32 years.

“Through the years, North Carolinians have proven their concern and compassion for their neighbors by tirelessly volunteering in their local communities,” said county Tourism Director Lucy Marston, who presided over the awards ceremony. - EncToday -
